See who just came to say "Hello". It is a beautiful pink dolphin from Yacuma River in the Park Santa Rosa de Yacuma (Beni). This specie is a Bolivian River Dolphin, Inia boliviensis, is different from the more common Amazon River Dolphin. It is smaller and lighter colored and has more teeth. Dolphins are friendly, sensitive, mammals with a brain capacity 40% larger than that of humans. Scientists do not know why they are pink. They have some small blood vessels near the surface of their skin. This could be a reason. What do you think? Anaconda o "sicuri": "Anacondas are large boa snakes that live in tropical South America. The green anaconda is one of the world's largest snakes. They can grow to more than 5.21 meters long and weigh 97.5 kg. They are found east of the Andes in Bolivia. Anacondas do not usually hunt humans." This specie can be seen (almost always) in the Pampas Tour in the Bolivian Amazon (River Yacuma). The guide gives the explanation about this wonderful reptile during this part of the tour. Please, leave your comments... Our ecolodge ´´Bibosi`` is located on the depths of the pampas of Yacuma River (Bolivian Pampas), from that place we believe we have more chance to see a lot of wildlife. We are proud to say that our hostel is also certified by responsible tourism practices. We invite you to visit our facilities. The Jungle (Selva) is a really interesting place. It takes place in the marvelous MADIDI NATIONAL PARK; it is located into the department of La Paz, Bolivia; just into the Bolvian Amazon. The national Park, has an area of 1.895.740 ha (18.957,40 km2).
