The Black Caiman is a crocodile that lives along slow-moving rivers and lakes in the grasslands of the Amazon basin, and in other freshwater habitats in South America such as the Bolivian Amazon. It was hunted to near extinction for its skin.The Black caiman is nocturnal, so it hunts at night. Its black skin may help it to hide in the dark. It may also help to keep it warm during the day. Male squirrel monkeys are usually larger than females. Of all primates, squirrel monkeys have the largest brain relative to their body size.Squirrel monkeys feed on insects and various fruits and berries.
